$50 Entry Fee (CCAT-135)
Invented by Greater Cleveland Chess and approved by the USCF Correspondence Director we have developed the CCAT-135 Correspondence Chess Tournament, in an effort to ignite this form of play within clubs around the country.
Correspondence chess is a truly beautiful way to create masterpieces. It gets little press, but the games are magnificent works of art. It's also great for seniors who really enjoy having plenty of time to make a move.
This form of play provides the chess enthusiast time and study to analyze (without a computer engine of course) their games with significant move time before making a move. Correspondence Chess strengthens your understanding of the game and strategic methodologies.
